2nd Career

I stopped watching NBA basketball in 1992. That was the year Larry Bird retired. If Bird had never come along, I would have stopped watching in 1982. That was the year Dave Cowans retired. Red Auerbach is dead. Johnny Most is dead, and they no longer call it the Boston Garden.

Still, Celtic Pride is making a comeback with the 2nd iteration of "The Big Three". There will never be another Bird, McHale & Parish, but Garnett, Allen & Pierce is an exciting trio - and the Celtics are back in the NBA finals.

I'm not sure if it is an old love for the Celtics rekindled, or a deep rooted hatred of the Lakers, but I'm glued to the tube. My new found favorite is Kendrick Perkins - tough as nails.

Fun to have a little passion.

Moon, that is a great photo!

The Celtics are fun to watch and Leon Powe is playing great!

I am truly not a Celtics/NBA fan, but to see Kobe be so frustrated, that is worth the price of admission.

I am happy for my dad, as he has stuck with the Celtics all of these years.

Take care, Mark
