The Better Side of Choice

We took part in a fundraiser on Sunday to help a local Catholic pregnancy resource center, Saint Gerard's Center for Life. Julie and I handed out baby bottles to parishioners that hopefully will be returned in 4 weeks full of money.

Saint Gerard's provides young women with the knowledge and services needed to bring a pregnancy full term instead of aborting the child. The director, Theresa Krankowski, has been successful in helping more than 350 newborns come into our wonderful world since she started the agency 4 years ago. A lover of life, Theresa's mission is centered on prayer, especially the Holy Rosary and Chaplet of the Divine Mercy.

It's not easy to be a proponent for life in today's world. I think Theresa has a solid formula - a few coins to pay the bills, compassion and a heavenly consulting staff.
